Thanks to People’s Community Bank, Little City is gathering regional All-Stars to break up into 4 teams skating outdoors at Johnson City, TN’s Blue Plum Fest to compete for the Blue Plum Trophy 2013!

Enjoy Johnson City’s biggest festival celebrating Roots music and local culture as you watch some of the best players in the region join LCRG for an afternoon of derby!

Friday-
6-7:30 Little City Junior Rollers Bout
8-11 Open Skate!

Saturday-
9am-12 - Open Skate/Set UP
12-5 - Tournament
5-6 - Awards & Photos
8-Close - Roller Disco Dancing!

This event is an open invitational! Skaters from any league that have completed basic WFTDA assessments are welcome to join a team!

Register before May 24 to skate :
$10 entry fee ($12.29 plus fees & tax)

June 22 and 23 Little City are proud to host the 2013 Tennessee Roller Derby Tournament, “The Honky Tonk Stomp!”

10 teams from across the state will play over two days!

Day 1 of Little City’s “Fresh Meat” Boot Camp will give prospective members an overview of roller derby training and what will be expected of recruits. Over the next 3-4 months, meeting Sundays 11-2 and Mondays 7-9, recruits will follow an intense training course to learn the minimum WFTDA skills required to become bout roller derby bout-eligible.

The training is not easy. It is not superficial. It’s not for quitters.

September 23 at 11am we will open the doors of the Johnson City Skate Center to any woman that wants to put on skates and learn how to be a roller girl! This special training session will be an introduction to the sport and a small taste of the full three month training program that can result in your graduation to the Team!

THIS IS THE LAST OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN IN 2012!

Men and women interested in refereeing are also welcome! Ref recruits are required to complete the basic skater training before referee training begins, so they will get a good work out as well!
