Little City is hitting the road for their final away bout of the summer!

Sunday, August 1, we will take on the New River Valley Bruisin' Burgs (Facebook) in their house, Adventure World (warning: music embedded in the site) in Christiansburg, VA!

NRV and Little City met twice last season with Little City victorious! It's been nearly a year since they last faced off, an eternity in derby time. Make the drive to Christiansburg, VA and support Little City by wearing RED and bringing the style that only Little City fans can bring!

Saturday night, Little City will take on the Cape Fear Rollergirls in beautiful Wilmington, NC in CFRG's first DOUBLE HEADER!

The first bout will see the DEBUT of the CFRG B-Team, the Black Hearts!

Little City Accepted as WFTDA Apprentice League

Three years of hard work have paid off! Today, WFTDA announced that the Little City Rollergirls have been accepted to the WFTDA Apprentice program!

This accomplishment will push Little City to the next level of competitiveness as they continue their quest for full WFTDA membership.

Thanks to ALL league members past and present for their hard work and dedication over the years. The dedication and support of our skaters, refs, nso's, volunteers, friends, and families made this achievement possible.

Congratulations to our friends in NRV and Cape Fear for also being among the 16 teams accepted today!

Great news for the Little City Junior Rollers!

Good morning Little City Derby Family!! I’m extremely excited to announce that the Little City Derby Brats and Junior Rollers are official members of the Junior Roller Derby Association as of June 2, 2010.

JRDA ALSO NEEDS YOUR HELP!! We’re planning the first Junior Roller Derby Convention (JuniorCON) and need donations. We’re asking that all derby friends and family PLEASE donate $5.00 or more. There’s a place to do that on the homepage. I’ll be there working the event as the JRDA Director of Rules/Officiating/Coaching. Angie (Devilique) and Anaka are going as participants!! Every donation is needed no matter the amount so we can make this successful.

PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION ON THE JRDA NEWS TAB!!! We’re working very hard to make Roller Derby an official Olympic Sport.

Two teams have supported Little City every step of the way since we formed in 2007. A couple months ago, we played Blue Ridge. This week, we close the circle and play our other sister league!

You've got to get up pretty early in the morning to beat Little City; and the Nashville Rollergirls Music City Brawl Stars will TRY at 11am at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds Sports Arena THIS SATURDAY, June 12!

Honky Tonk Stomp IV Exhibition Bout:

SATURDAY, June 12 11am

(This bout will be free of charge, but tickets to The STOMP must be purchased!)

This is an exhibition bout to warm folks up for the Honky Tonk Stomp IV, the WFTDA Tennessee Championship Tournament.

That night, we will be screaming our heads off in support of our derby sisters Hard Knox as they try to claim the title of Tennessee State Champions!!!

Hard Knox, Nashville, and Memphis Tournament starts at 4pm!

A Message from the LCRG Fresh Meat Butcher

Alright ladies, here we go. Fresh Meat training starts this weekend. Come down and join us tonight and tomorrow at the Blue Plum Festival in downtown Johnson City and then get yourAugie Von ButchHer Fresh Meat Trainer derby on Sunday June 6th at the Johnson City Skater Center at 12pm SHARP.

We will start the first two days with basic skills assessments (Sunday AND Monday night.) You will be tested on basic skating skills to include: completing 20 laps in 5 minutes, one foot glides on straight-away, all 8 skate, cutting in and out on track, and the ability to perform a full stop. If you can do all of these basic skills we will move fast in our training. If you have a hard time doing these things then we still want you! You will have plenty of opportunity to skate and hone your skills. Tell your friends and bring them along.

If you can not make this first week, we will give you a chance to test in to the program during the first two weeks. After that we will ask you to practice on the sideline so we can get the rest of the ladies up to scrimmage ready. Next chance to join Fresh Meat will not be until September so SEIZE THE DAY!
